Crazy 8's - Ideaprov.com
As soon as I walked into the Mercy Lounge I was greeted by one of the wildest and most fun crowd's I've been around in years! Everyone was decked out in wardrobe circa the 30's/40's. Once I was in I was greeted by Paulie, the ring leader of this 40's style variety show. He is easily spotted having always at least one PBR in hand. Although I was promised a complimentary Tall Boy of my own I won't hold that against him. The show started off with a very comical magician (Scott Cantrell) who set his juggling act up great! I won't tell you the details of his act but it was entertaining to say the least. Next was the Lava Men who came straight from the 'Boro with their 50's style groove music via Southern California and Dick Dale. These guys made me want to hang ten right off the balcony, don't try this at home though. These guys played an array of music from the dance song from Pulp Fiction to Istanbul (was Constantinople). Due to prior arrangements I couldn't stay for the live burlesque show, however I will be back with friends next month to finish out the show and have Paul make good ono that Tall Boy. I definitely recommend this show to anyone from every social group and walk of life. Trust me when I say this makes for a great first date or just a good night on the town. Be cool Nashville. See you in the mixx... BJS TennesseeNightlife.com |
